The Rimigliano Nature Park runs for six kilometres along the coast between San Vincenzo and Piombino; a long stretch of Mediterranean woodland directly on the sea, with beautiful paths, refreshment points, services, showers and tables.
Leaving the town of San Vincenzo, there is the Bau Beach, where dogs are also allowed to swim.
A few kilometres away is the Gulf of Baratti, a marvellous beach with a beautiful centuries-old pine forest; there are also two equipped bathing establishments, bars and restaurants in the small square overlooking the gulf.
For lovers of rocks, Buca delle Fate lies at the foot of the promontory between the gulf and the medieaval village of Populonia.
Equally beautiful is the Sterpaia Coastal Park between Piombino and Follonica. A stretch of Mediterranean woodland overlooking a fine white beach.
From the port of San Vincenzo and Piombino, it is possible to organise a day's boat trip to visit the islands of the Archipelago .... Elba, Capraia, Giglio, Pianosa and Montecristo.
